Over a century later Cantina Formigine Pedemontana has become a modern company born from the merger with the Cantina Pedemontana and Sassuolo. Now comprised of over 380 members that produce fine grapes on an area of over 600 hectares of vineyards, of which 70% characterized by Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC. On the hills surrounding Conegliano, about 50 miles north of Venice, lies the beautiful estate of Bellenda. In 1987, Sergio Cosmo started this winery, located in the very heart of the Prosecco producing region. The Cosmo family also redesigned the layout of the vineyard and planted 80% of the grapes now used for Prosecco and other sparkling wines with the rest used for still wines. Today the family business is run by brothers Umberto, Luigi and Domenico Cosmo, who have a passion for making wine that marries tradition and innovation for the production of truly outstanding wines.

We began making wines at Ca' di Pesa in 2010 - an exciting adventure that was a manifestation of our personal passion for Chianti Classico and for the terroir of the Conca d'Oro. Since then, and with the help of the warm and supportive vintners of Panzano, we have been working with a deeply involved, passionate team, sparing no effort or expense to make the best possible wines.
Making red wines was an obvious choice for this area; but with Summer and its hot, peaceful days being such an important part of life in Tuscany, we began to make a rosato - a floral and fresh wine which we enjoy sipping in the company of friends or by the pool as we soak in the warm and wonderful Tuscan sun.
Ca' di Pesa is intentionally a small winery, which allows for a complete focus on quality - but it also makes it possible for us to connect in a special way with many of the people who enjoy our wines.
